Stockmann,
established in 1862, is a Finnish listed company engaged in
the retail trade. It has approximately 55 000 shareholders and over 16
000 employees. The Group’s revenue in 2010 was EUR 1 822 million.
Stockmann’s three divisions are the Department Store Division and the
Lindex and Seppälä fashion chains. The divisions operate in
fourteen countries. Stockmann’s Department Store Division’s distance
retailing business in Finland operates under the Stockmann, Hobby Hall
and Academic Bookstore brands. Lindex runs an online store in the whole
EU area and Norway.
